Tamara Cox: Lead Vocals/Vocal Section Leader/Event Manager
Tamara has her degree in Music Education from Cal State Fullerton and has a California State teaching credential. She was the Choir Director at Serrano High School for 8 years until she decided she wanted to spend more time focusing on her family and personal music goals. She now performs regularly as the Lead in Pirate's Dinner Adventure. Some of her past credits include: Dicken's Christmas Caroler at Disneyland, as well as the Disney band "Instant Replay". She has starred in several independent films and has performed on "Americas Got Talent".
Tamara has a wonderful husband and a beautiful son. She is a lover of animals and works in Dog rescue. She's always excited to perform and loves her role in Jukebox!!!
David Villarreal: Lead Vocals/Keys/Rhythm Guitar/Event Manager
Dave comes to San Diego from Texas by way of the United States Navy. He currently serves in an active-duty capacity and joins us when he is not deployed. He has been part of the Jukebox family for the last 4 years and brings a distinct male vocal capability that can only be described as “a combination of Fergie and Jesus.”
Dave started singing as a young child and is an accomplished pianist as well. In junior high and high school, he was a choir stand-out taking first-chair tenor in numerous competitions, including the high school Texas All-State choir 3 years in a row. He majored in vocal performance at the University of Texas Pan-Am before deciding to serve in the military.
Dave comes from a long line of musicians and has been singing and playing professionally for over 20 years. He has been part of many musical projects including singing for local and international TV ads. While in various bands, he has shared the stage with Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Stryper, and UFO. When not fronting Jukebox, David is rocking with a Glamour Rock tribute band and a YachtRock party band.
Kenny Gary: Lead Vocals/DJ/Choreography
Kenny Gary has a true love for music and the theatre, and has worked at perfecting his craft throughout many years of studying performing and, teaching. Throughout his professional career he has graced many stages in production shows, cover bands, and musicals, on land and sea for Holland America Line,Royal Caribbean, Carnival Cruise Lines, The Kennedy Center and more.His theatre credits include Hairspray, Dream Girls, Hello Dolly, Chicago, Its a Wonderful Life, Songs For A New World and most recently Smokey Joes Cafe.
Sarah Stallman: Lead and Backing Vocals
Hailing from Iowa, Sarah first fell in love with music when she started playing classical piano as a young child. Upon entering high school she discovered theatre, musicals, and choir, which inspired her to go on to receive her Bachelors in both Vocal Music and Theatre (as well as a minor in Equine Studies ( just for variety!).
Sarah has taken her talents abroad as The Lead Singer with Holland America Line, Carnival Cruise Lines and as The Lead Singer/Dancer at the Universal Studios (Singapore) main-stage show, "Monster Rock!"
Sarah currently resides in Los Angeles, where she works as The Lead and Backing Vocalist for Jukebox, Studio Voiceover Artist and Session Vocalist.
She has worked alongside renowned Vocal Director, Tim Davis (Glee, Barbra Streisand, Michael Buble) and performed background vocals for Pia Toscano (American Idol), Michael Devin (Whitesnake) and Annie Bosko (Rolling Stone Country Artists You Need to Know).
Ever the small-town Iowa girl at heart, she still loves open spaces, nature, horses and the simple things in life.

John Pisano: Drums/Backing Vocals/Exec Producer/ Sr. Event Manager
John began his musical adventure, on the trumpet at the age of 8. By 10, he realized that drums were his true passion and begged his mom for a swap meet snare drum. John grew up in the early Orange County punk scene, playing with the likes of TSOL, The Crowd and Mike Ness. At 18, John traded in the punk lifestyle for a 4 year Navy stint and a world tour.
As the president of welfare and recreation for his command, John realized that he had a knack for event planning and combined his love for music with his flair for management. John played drums and managed the San Diego band Hate Romance in 1990 during the height of the San Diego music explosion , resulting in a development opportunity with Sony in 1994. Hate Romance played with The Spin Doctors, Blind Mellon and was booked with Smashing Pumpkins, among others.
John started Jukebox in in 2006, with the goal of creating a fun and exciting professional band that would have the energy of a live band with the versatility of a DJ. "We were competing heavily with DJ's at the time and I realized that by putting together a live band with a DJ, we could eliminate the debate!"
Steve Langdon: Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals/Audio Producer
Steve was born and educated in San Diego. His musical influences range from Heavy Metal to Jazz and Classical. He started playing music at 5 years old with the violin in orchestras and festivals, moving on to accordion by age 9 and upon hearing the Beatles at age 12, he picked up the guitar and "hasn't put it down since". He's studied music all his life including college, toured both nationally and internationally and recorded with (and for) many Grammy winning artists including Roy Z, Tom Pick, Anthony Davis and Dan Mahar. He has also been nominated by San Diego Music Awards for producing, playing, recording and mastering.
Steve was an intricate part of the hard rock/metal movement that started in San Diego and Los Angeles in the late 70's/ early 80's playing legendary clubs like the Starwood, Whiskey and Troubadour, making movies and records during that time. Steve is the owner of Langdon Productions, a music teacher of theory, guitar, piano, banjo, mandolin, dobro, bass and uke. With an awesome one man show, you can find him performing solo at O'Hungrys and Effin pubs. As the guitarist for Jukebox, Steve is the color and power that makes the music pop!
Zack Wheeler: Bass Guitar/Electric Guitar/Vocals
Zach has been living and breathing music since he can remember. A versatile multi instrumentalist started playing piano at 6 years old, moved on to saxophone and finally, all things strings! Although he enjoys his other talents, Zack finds the bass to be the most fulfilling. "I am happiest providing the bridge between the rhythm and the voices, the thunder of the lightning, the funk!" A San Diego native, he works as a song writer, session instrumentalist and bass player. Zack was a founding member of the 3 time San Diego music award winning band Scarlet Symphony, performing with The Killers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Flaming Lips, and Rush. He's gone on to record and share the stage with countless other artists, always with the mission make you feel the bass!
Zack lives for the opportunity to make the dance floor move, bringing his passion and skills to Jukebox to ensure maximum booty shake on every dance floor.
When he's not laying it down with Jukebox, you can find him providing the low end for award winning San Diego blues legends Lady Dottie and the Diamonds. He also pursues his original music in a synth (live looping) music project with his twin brother called Pal&Drome.
Troy Jennings: Sax/Horn Section Leader
Troy has been with Jukebox from the start. He has always infused a level of professionalism that can only be acquired through years of performance. Troy has toured the world with many famous artist, performing at prominent venues and festivals including; Lucerne Blues Fest, Switzerland with the Lionel Hampton Jazz club, Paris France South Central Jazz Fest, Long Beach Blues Fest, Doheny Blues Fest, Smooth Jazz Fest, Gator By The Bay Music Fest, San Diego Blues Fest, Adams Street Fest San Diego
Troy has been featured on over 50 albums and can play anything Jukebox throws at him, with one hand tied behind his back!
Ken Hoelscher: Keys/DJ/Tech Production/Sr. Event Manager
Ken Hoelscher began his music career very early. At nine years old he was performing live on the piano for a local TV show. It was also about this time that he begin learning other musical instruments. By the time he was in high school he was playing in local bands and concerts all over San Diego. At San Diego State he was an extra with the San Diego Symphony, and a conductor for three broadway shows.
In 1987 he left the classics behind and went back to his roots - the piano, playing rock and roll and 80’s pop. Since that time he has been a songwriter, producer, studio session player, and performer playing in over 3500 shows and working with a variety of celebrity artists including: John Elefante (singer for Kansas) Jeff Lams (keyboardist for Donna Summers) Roni Lee (guitarist for Venus and the Razorblades) Jennifer Baton (guitarist for Michael Jackson)Jeff Kathan (drummer for Paul Rogers, Free, Bad Company) and many other artist all over southern California.
Ken joined Jukebox in the Summer of 2010 heading up all of the audio and lighting. Since then he has helped build what is now a solid and compact state of the art sound and lighting system that helps make the Jukebox sound so tight and realistic - you actually think you are listening to the recording. In 2016, Ken left the world of the mixing board behind to come back on stage as Musical Director, Keyboardist and DJ forJukebox.
John Thomas: Sound/Lighting/Stage Production/Technical Development
John hails from the little known town of Corry Pennsylvania. He moved to San Diego with his family at the tender age of 4, and the state has not recovered to this day. John began his musical career when he was just a wee lad, making his mark on the industry as a constant irritant to his piano teacher. From there, he gained fame as a trombonist at his Jr & Sr HS as well as his college Alma Matter, SDSU.
During his stint as a player with the Christian Rock outfit NO SECRET, and later with local sensations INSIDE OUT, John made a huge impression with his on-stage flair, penchant for playing, and aptitude for the technical aspects of a live performance. John started with Jukebox in 2010, managing the “behind the scenes” team of sound men and stage hands. John has become an integral part of the Jukebox sound and we are lucky to have him!
David (DJ Simple) Otero: DJ/Emcee/Backing Vocals/Rap
David (DJ Simple) comes from a musical family and found early on that he had a knack for entertaining a crowd. At the age of 12, Simple picked up a trumpet and quickly learned to read, write and compose. He parlayed those skills into public performances where he learned about production, sound, lighting and emceeing. Simple says “ Performing opened my eyes to the world of production.” He also notes “Maybe most importantly, Emceeing gave me a unique platform for learning to read a crowd”
Fast forward to 2005, DJ Simple and his brother Manny (also a talented local DJ) began producing and directing professional events for name brand companies including the San Diego Chargers, Sea World and Anheuser Busch. After 10 years of successful event Production as a DJ, Emcee and production coordinator, Simple finds himself for the first time as a member of a band (Jukebox).

As a DJ with Jukebox, Simple mixes, fills, sings, raps, plays percussion, directs, Emcees and hypes. He also assists with sound and lighting as well as client interaction and planning.
Big shoes indeed!
Wyatt (DJ Recipe) Head: DJ/VJ/MC/Rap
Recipe has been with Jukebox almost from the start. He pioneered the DJ/Band concept with Jukebox and was an integral part in creating the flow that we use today. He is also an early adapter and master Video Jockey which brings a cool and unique visual element to all events. Wyatt is married to a beautiful, intelligent (P.A.) and (Lucky for us) understanding woman. They have 2 young children and an awesome life together.
Margaret Carpenter: DJ/Emcee/Lead & Backing Vocals
Margaret has been inspired by music for most of her life, though her real passion for performing began in high school and carried on through college. While studying for her career in the Veterinary world, Margaret also stretched her acting and singing chops performing in numerous musicals, including Music Man and Godspell.
After starting a family Margaret restarted her singing career in various bands throughout SoCal, re-igniting her passion for music and performing. Margaret looks like an angel but knows how to lay down some serious down and dirty beats forJukebox.
